About us
Who we are
We work to make culture, knowledge and technology accessible to everyone.
Mission
We bring together researchers and experts in the social sciences, culture, law and information technology. We turn knowledge and experience into research, training, publications and practical solutions that contribute to a more inclusive society.
Our work on accessible culture and media goes back to 2006: from the Louvre’s tactile exhibition at the National Museum and the handbook “Culture of Equality”, through research and a monograph on the role of ICT in an inclusive society, to training with the International Telecommunication Union.

Communication and ICT: social inclusion of persons with disabilities
Communication and the use of ICT are key to the social inclusion of persons with disabilities. They enable independence, access to information and active participation in society. Effective communication builds an inclusive society in which individual needs are respected. Two-way exchange, plain language and a focus on the person (not the disability) improve their confidence and participation in education, work and social activities.
Information and communication technologies (ICT) such as assistive tools increase independence and digital inclusion. They provide access to information through screen readers, speech synthesisers or adapted devices, enabling persons with disabilities to take full part in everyday life.
